36 weeks and counting

Now that I only have 4 weeks left it feels like crunch time. I got my hospital bags packed and ready to go. I have tried many times to get prav to tell me what he wants for our stay in the hospital but he insists that it's way to early and he will pack his own things when the time comes! Bo k! I bounce on my birth ball every night for 30+ minutes to move her down into position (she is almost there!!). I know I still have plenty of time, but as a first time mom I am not quite sure what to expect.. even though I am sure I will follow right after Chaiss and Kathryn but you never know!

I got my hair done this past week so that it would be out of the way before the baby comes but it turned out to be a disaster! The lady who normally does my hair does a wonderful job and I never have any complaints but this time was different. It turned out to be big chunks of brown and blonde highlights and it just didn't work. At all. So last night, my mom bought a kit at walgreens and gave me some homemade highlights to get rid of the brown. I appreciate her help but my hair is now white and orange. Oh my! I am trying not to panic cause it is only hair. I called a new salon and I am going in today so hopefully someone can help me!

Although I am starting to get a little more uncomfortable, I am trying to enjoy this last month of being pregnant. I have loved every moment of being pregnant and I think I might miss it. Pravin has been great to me this whole pregnancy and I am so thankful for an understanding and patient husband. The other night we sat in the nursery for over an hour talking and day dreaming and looking at all our little girl's clothes. It was so fun and so sweet and I won't forget it.

WARNING! here comes a picture of me at 36 weeks:

That's it for now!

34 weeks

Wow! It is hard to imagine that in just 6 more weeks I will have a little girl. Now that I am this close to my due date, it seems like the last 8 months have flown by. I am getting more excited each day and I cannot wait to hold that precious little baby in my arms and look in her eyes. I love her so much already and I know once I see her it will be a whole new feeling that I can't wait to experience. She is moving around so much these days and what a wonderful feeling that is! I love when prav feels her move. Every time he feels her kick he looks up at me like it was the first time he felt her with a big smile on his face and it makes me so happy. He is going to be such a great dad. I am so thankful to the Lord for a healthy and complication free pregnancy. I will be praying that this baby keeps growing strong for the last 6 weeks.

Here is a picture of me at 34 weeks and 1 day. I know I have 6 more weeks but I do not know how I will get much bigger(whoa!!)! When prav gets home from work I will learn how to work his camera so I don't have to do these cheesy phone pics.

Things still on my to do list:
-organize and set up the nursery
-pack my hospital bags
-finish our birthing classes
-wash all the baby clothes
-install car seat
-take maternity pictures (it's probably too late but I still want to!)
-decide on a name!!!

two little girls

I just want to say how much I love and adore both of my nieces. What a huge blessing they both are and I am so excited that I get to be their aunt! They are so special to me and I cannot wait to watch them grow up.

I absolutely LOVED getting to spend so much time with Ivy her first year of life. Thanks to Prav for allowing me to take last minute trips to San Antonio almost every weekend and thanks to Kevin and Chaiss for letting me move on in. Although you (ivy) may not remember, we have so many memories together that I love. Some of my most favorites are laying out in the sun in your parents room, rocking you back to sleep after a feeding in the middle of the night, and the times I got to get you out of bed in the morning cause that means I got the morning hug! I love you Ivy and I can't wait until I see you again.

I am also so grateful that I live in the SAME city as Staples! How fun this year is going to be! We will be able to walk Memorial Park, go on lunch dates and hopefully your mom calls me often to babysit! I am so excited to make memories with you and watch you grow.

hello there

Yep, I have followed in Chaiss' footsteps and started a blog. Please don't look at my creative sister's blog and expect me to do the same. I wish I could, but my talents are elsewhere. I created this blog because I have thoroughly enjoyed looking at Chaiss' and seeing all the wonderful pictures of sweet ivy (and chaiss & kevin of course) and wanted to do the same with my new family. I hope to update often to share about the last 6 weeks of my pregnancy (eeeee!) and continue when this precious little girl joins me and prav.
