Last weekend, we took our first vacation with just the three of us. We went to Cabo and loved every minute of it! Esther did very well on the flights.. sleeping most of the time. (Chaiss I don't know how you do it on those 10 hour flights- I am even more grateful now that you traveled alone with Ivy back in October- thank you!!) We had so much fun just relaxing by the pool, getting ice cream everyday, taking E to the park to swing, and spending time with each other. Here are a few, well actually more than I should probably upload, pics of our trip:
little miss drama queen

wooo! daddy's birthday
happy birthday to the best husband and the worlds greatest dad.
I can hardly believe that you are half a year old! This past month has been filled with so many fun and exciting times. Since I never posted a 5 month post then we will cover the past two months now. You are the strongest little girl I have ever seen. You insist on standing on my lap holding my thumbs. You think you are big but your still a baby and sometimes I just want to hold you like one! You learned to sit up when you were 4.5 months but your still a little wobbly. You are trying so very hard to crawl. You have the legs down perfect, but you haven't figured out the arms yet. You can only be held on the hip or facing outward otherwise you will crawl up my stomach.. I have no idea where you think your going but you go. You love your praise CD! It works like magic.. when I turn it on you get silent. Any other CD or radio does not work but this particular CD you love! Daddy and I laugh so hard because when one particular song some on (track 2) you put your arms out with your hands wide open and it looks like your worshipping. Maybe you are.. We enrolled you in a swim class with your cousin Staples, and your friend James. We have only been once but you seemed to like it. In fact, we are about to go again now! You have zero interest in baby food. I have tried several times and each time you gag and look like your tasting the grossest thing ever. So we will try again in a few weeks. Although you love mum mums, banana puffs, pancakes (yes, pancakes.. the doctor said it was ok), oranges, and I think that is everything you've had (unless gramma is sneaking you something =)). Speaking of the doctor, we switched pediatricians this month and I love your new doctor! He goes to our church and I am so grateful he is your doctor. At the appointment, we talked about your sleeping patterns and how each night is totally different. You have no schedule and you wake up crying 3 times a night. He told me to let you cry it out. He said it may take 2 hours but just leave her in there. I was dreading doing this because I can't stand to hear you cry. Ever since that appointment you have slept so good! You heard the doctor say "cry it out" and you wanted no part in that. So the past week you have slept 12-13 hours a night with not a single peep! woohoo! I am so proud and so happy that I didn't have to let you cry. Hopefully it lasts. You weigh 16 pounds (67%) and you are in the 53% in height. Healthy girl! =)
I am so proud to be your mom. Each day brings something new and I love watching you grow. You are the biggest blessing in my life and I can't thank the Lord enough for you.
Esther and I are always so happy when our family comes to visit. They are always bringing us treats and goodies- soo sweet! This past week, Pravin's Aunt Leela came too and it was so good to see her! And she got to meet Esther for the first time so that was special. Here are some pictures from their last visit:
We had a wonderful Easter day. It started pretty early for me. I woke up at 4:30am and met up with a couple hundred people from Second Baptist church to do the resurrection dance. A couple weeks ago, over 2,000 people joined together and "danced their shoes off" from Second. The purpose of the dance was to share the gospel but also to donate shoes to people in need. You can watch the dance here:
Fox News saw this video and called Second last night to see if we could perform it live on their morning show. So, we did! All 2,000 people couldn't make it at such late notice but we had a good group out there. What an awesome way to start Easter day- dancing for a resurrected Savior!
We had lunch at gramma and papa's house and Esther had her first Easter basket! Kathryn and I showed up to lunch wearing the exact same dress. Great minds think alike!
uh-oh!
oops!
Esther had her hands folded like this all day. She knew she was pretty in her Easter dress.
her hands =)
We ended the day with a little evening swim and leftovers at gramma and papa's. We missed the McConnell's and Logan. See you both very soon!
